tutorial car modeling Audi A7 in Rhino 3D Rhinoceros V7 + file 3dm
This tutorial is intended for all modelers using Rhino3D who wish to enhance their NURBS modeling techniques using single-span surfaces, also known as Bézier surfaces.
This tutorial presents car modeling in a natural way, without preparing educational scenes in advance. It includes back-and-forth iterations, creation phases, and geometry recreation phases. It is a real-life representation of the NURBS surface modeling process.
You will discover all the steps involved in modeling this car, illustrating the methods used to integrate Bézier surfaces into a complex model while maintaining the desired continuity between surfaces. The advantage of single-span surfaces lies in their geometric efficience and beauty .
This tutorial is not intended to imitate the car itself, but will give you an overview that can help you create your own 3D models, You will be able to apply these modeling techniques to various types of objects and projects, such as boats, motorcycles, airplanes, or household appliances.
This tutorial contains 28 videos of approximately one hour each, as well as 5 additional explanatory videos of approximately 10 minutes each, with a synthetic voice in two languages, French and English, These additional videos were recorded later with the aim of quickly explaining certain maneuvers in the tutorial. This work is the result of approximately 110 hours of video editing during the modeling of the car. It is divided into three parts:
Part One:
It contains 13 videos, with a total duration of 13 hours and 40 minutes, without voiceover and with background music. You will see all the commands used during modeling in real time on the screen, displayed in yellow. In addition, you will find 5 other explanatory videos accompanying videos 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 in English and French.
Part Two:
It contains 3 time-lapse videos (x3), with a total duration of 3 hours, with background music, They show the threading work and a few small details (often repetitive), with the exception of certain shapes at the front of the car and the grille.
Part Three:
This part contains 12 videos, with a total duration of 11 hours and 30 minutes, It shows the modeling of the car's accessories, such as the front and rear lights with their internal patterns, the rim, the tire, the rearview mirror, and all the other remaining elements. The videos are played at 1.5x speed with background music. You can slow down the playback if you want to watch them at normal speed.
It is strongly recommended that you have a basic knowledge of Rhino 3D in order to understand the tutorial more easily. You can always visit the Rhino 3D website, which contains numerous educational videos
